The Department applies the following criteria to determine the appropriate classification for each applicant:

Applicants with degrees in a language other than English may need to demonstrate English Language Proficiency through one of the following exam scores:

Possession of these basic requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Admissions are considered on a competitive basis and factors taken into account in the Department's decision include: i) performance in basic science courses, ii) letters of reference, iii) previous involvement with biomedical research (work and summer student experience), iv) publications, v) motivation for studying pharmacology as stated in the "Statement of research interests " form, and vi) willingness and availability of prospective supervisors to accept and support students.
